Chef Alessandro Farinati was born and raised in Vicenza, Italy, nestled between the Small Dolomites, Colli Berici, and the Adriatic Sea. His passion for cooking began with his mother, Gabriella, and grandmother, Mina. Alessandro’s culinary style is rooted in Italian tradition, enriched by his travels and life experiences. He and his wife, Laura, have been together for over 20 years and have one son, Kevin, along with two Boston Terriers, Chaz and Bella. Laura, originally from Kankakee, developed a love for wine while living in Italy and became a certified sommelier. She will lead Bragozzo’s beverage program and curate its wine and spirits market. As Director of Hospitality, Laura connects the kitchen and dining room, sharing Alessandro’s vision of what it means to be an Italian in the Midwest—while ensuring every guest feels like the star of the experience.
